Best Wedding Venues in South Wales
As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing countless love stories and memories in some of Wales’ most beautiful wedding venues. From fairytale castles to rustic barns and breathtaking coastal gems, each wedding venue in Wales will provide a perfect backdrop for a couple's special day. In this blog we’ll go through a few of my personal favorite wedding venues in Wales and why!
Fairy Hill is a beautiful wedding venue in the Oldwalls collection. From the decor and the grounds to the food and lovely staff there, it is such a lovely wedding venue and has to be up there with my favorites in the UK! It has such a romantic fairytale feel, especially during winter months with its cozy feel and fireplaces crackling. The venue is set in 24 acres of gorgeous woodland and perfectly primed gardens. The Georgian building is beautifully restored and the decoration is so gorgeous throughout, you really can’t take a bad angle there! The main reception room is also so beautiful as there are windows from floor to ceiling which let in so much natural light creating a feeling of being outdoors amongst the forestry and nature whilst having protection from the weather if it takes a turn for the worse - it really is such a perfect venue for both a couple and a photographer!

Pencoed House is perfectly situated in South Wales not far from the M4, and easily accessible for all guests and wedding suppliers! From the moment you even arrive at the end of the drive, you just know that the venue is going to be especially beautiful, it gives such a personal feel for each wedding and all of the grounds and beautiful buildings provide a sense of tranquility. From past weddings at Pencoed House I have seen the team there offer a real sense of exclusivity and intimacy, making couples and their guests feel truly special on their big day. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful, and their attention to detail ensures that every aspect of the wedding is seamless and memorable.

Canada Lodge is a beautiful intimate wedding venue near Cardiff, with a beautiful view over the lake and water fountains. From the bridal preparations in the beautiful log cabins overlooking the lake in the morning to the dancing in the evening, the whole day at Canada Lodge is always so perfect!
Nestled in the picturesque Vale of Glamorgan, Gileston Manor is a venue that has a timeless elegance and historic charm. This magnificent estate boasts stunning Georgian architecture, perfectly kept gardens, and breathtaking views off the coast. Gileston Manor offers a variety of picture-perfect settings for capturing unforgettable wedding photographs. The elegant manor house, with its grand beautiful interiors, provides such an elegant feel to the photos along with such beautiful light pouring through the tall windows. One of the best features of Gileston Manor is its stunning secret garden where your ceremony is held, the light in this area is perfect for such angelic-looking images and has the feeling of being outside whilst still having the marque protecting you and your guests from the unpredictable Welsh weather!

Coed-y-Mwstwr offers couples a tranquil and romantic feel for their wedding day. This elegant country house hotel features a beautiful gallery where you can hold your ceremony and again have shelter from the wind rain and even sunshine for your guests whilst still feeling like you’re in an outdoor setting!
